Hope For The Day is a non-profit movement empowering the conversation on proactive suicide prevention and mental health education.
As an Art Director and Graphic Designer at Hope for the Day and Sip of Hope Coffee, I spearheaded the organization’s visual identity across platforms, ensuring brand consistency while driving engagement through creative strategies and compelling content. I played a key role in producing assets for social media, marketing campaigns, merchandise, events, and physical spaces. I collaborated closely with cross-functional teams and mentored interns, fostering a strong creative environment aligned with the organization’s mission of proactive suicide prevention.
At Hope for the Day, I contributed to several Giving Tuesday campaigns, most notably the 2022 initiative to expand our mental health education program in schools. As Art Director and Designer, I created a vibrant, academic visual identity for all campaign materials, clearly communicating our fundraising goals. This successful campaign allowed us to reach over 14,000 students in 90 Illinois schools.

I have designed numerous flyers that effectively promote mental health awareness, proactive suicide prevention projects, event programming, partner collaborations, fundraisers, and more.

In 2023, I updated Hope for the Day's E-learning course on mental health and proactive suicide prevention. As art director, graphic designer, and motion designer, I refreshed photos, visuals, and videos to align with the organization's current branding. I also collaborated with our Multimedia Coordinator to capture new content that effectively conveyed the course's information.

During my time in this role, I had the opportunity to develop my skills in motion design significantly. I animated numerous videos for our education programming, particularly in E-Learning, as well as for social media, events, and our partners

Hope for the Day's Summer 2024 campaign, 'Self-care is Not Selfish,' included a merchandise line and social media campaign highlighting various forms of self-care. As designer and art director, I developed this collection and campaign to resonate with younger audiences reached through high school education sessions, music festivals, and community outreach events.

During my time at Hope for the Day, I collaborated with the Marketing Director to develop and design educational and inspiring social media content. This content promoted our programming, raised in-kind donations, spotlighted fundraisers and volunteers, and encouraged organizational involvement.
Project Role: Graphic Designer

Recognizing Hope for the Day's diverse audience, I prioritized creating inclusive content, merchandise, and assets. For example, our 2024 exclusive event t-shirt resonated with our punk rock demographic, often met at festivals. This design delivered our core message of mental health and self-care with a more direct, impactful approach that specifically connected with this audience segment.
